Astrum owns the exclusive 25 MHz contiguous L-band, the best mobile spectrum for satellite mobile delivery over the Asia-Pacific that could connect to the 4.6B population, and the in-orbit geostationary (GEO) broadcast satellite AsiaStar with turnkey multimedia service ecosystem support, which together form the largest operating mobile data distribution platform in Asia.

Leveraging that, Astrum has entered partnership with leading satellite provider AST SpaceMobile of the US, which developed the world’s first satellite to offer direct broadband connectivity to normal mobile devices without alteration. The partnership is combining Astrum’s L-band with AST’s satellites into the state-of-the-art Converged^TM network for S2D services.

The Converged platform is especially useful for Asia Pacific, which has 3 billon mobile users, many of them are frequently moving in and out of 5G coverage.
